Between us
Web design, 2020
An exploration of the interpretation and emotional experience of spaces between people and how they change as we have conversations related to our identities. We asked our friends to narrate interactions they’ve had with others about their or other people’s race, gender, or origins, and how the space felt between them as these conversations occurred or took an awkward turn, as conversations like these often do. This is an effort to understand each other better, to resolve the question of why talking about ourselves, where we come from, and who we are, are often the most difficult things to talk about; this is about resolving and experiencing these spaces; the spaces between us. (A collaboration with Emma Kanne and Malin Mabika)
